“Bolamaen 10K is to raise funds for the Brecon Male Choir visit in 2019 to S’Hertogenbosh in Holland. The town was liberated by 53 (Welsh) Division on 27th October 1944, of which 160 Brigade (based in Brecon) was a part. During the fighting 144 Britishsoldiers lost their lives. 2019 will be the 75th anniversary of this liberation and a Welsh choir, particularly from Brecon, will be most welcome as a part of the anniversary activities. Liberation celebrations in s’Hertogenbosch have continued each year on the 27th October since 1944.”
